Arizona Center for Civic Leadership Selects Joseph Brophy as 2016 Cohort of the Flinn-Brown Civic Leadership Academy

PHOENIX (October 7, 2016) – Jennings Haug Cunningham is pleased to announce that Joseph Brophy, a partner with the firm, has been selected as a 2016 cohort of the Flinn-Brown Civic Leadership Academy, a group of Arizonans from across the state, and all walks of life and perspectives, who share a commitment to state-level public service. The independent, nonpartisan Arizona Center for Civic Leadership launched the academy in 2010 to strengthen civic leadership throughout Arizona.

Flinn-Brown Academy cohorts study major issues facing the state, and gaining an understanding of numerous perspectives on politics and public policy to inform their leadership during a 12-part seminar series led by Arizona policy and political experts. The Academy has established a reputation for rigorous learning and has fostered a strong network to help expand the cadre of state-level leaders with the knowledge, skills and commitment to address Arizona’s long-term issues. The 2016 cohort brings the total membership in the Flinn-Brown Network to 260 members.

Mr. Brophy is partner with the firm’s commercial litigation practice, focusing on complex business disputes, creditors’ rights, Surety & Fidelity, bankruptcy and insurance defense. He is also a member of the Arizona Veterans’ Service Advisory Commission; the State Bar of Arizona; the American Bar Association’s Tort & Insurance Practice Section and the Surety & Fidelity Law Committee; as well as the Surety Association of Arizona. Mr. Brophy received his bachelor’s degree from University of San Diego and earned his law degree from University of San Diego School of Law.
