New Book: Surety Aspects of Bankruptcy Law and Practice
JHC partner Chad Schexnayder serves as co-editor of the comprehensive reference guide.

PHOENIX — Jennings Haug Cunningham (JHC) is pleased to announce the release of Surety Aspects of Bankruptcy Law and Practice, a new book conceived and edited by JHC partner and veteran surety and bankruptcy lawyer Chad Schexnayder. The comprehensive reference guide, published in partnership with the American Bar Association’s Tort & Trial Insurance Practice Section (TIPS), serves as a resource for all those involved in bankruptcy proceedings, including surety claims professionals, lawyers and judges.

This unique legal treatise, conceived more than three years ago, shares insight and experience from more than 20 accomplished practitioners in the field of surety & bankruptcy law from across the United States. Contributing authors were selected by Mr. Schexnayder and his co-editor, Michael Collins, a partner at Manier Herod in Nashville, Tennessee.

Mr. Schexnayder has been a member of the American Bar Association for more than three decades, and currently serves as chair of the Fidelity & Surety Law Committee (FSLC), of the American Bar Association’s TIPS. He is regarded in the industry as a leading authority on bankruptcy, construction law, complex surety bond disputes, as well as other surety and fidelity matters.

As both an author and editor, Mr. Schexnayder has contributed to many successful and widely utilized legal reference manuals and publications. Prior to his most recent publication, he served as co-editor of The Surety Underwriter’s Desk Book, (American Bar Association) and founding editor of The Quick Reference Guide to Western States Surety Law. He is an author in the New Appleman on Insurance Law Library Edition and more than a dozen books published by the FSLC. He has actively served in a variety of roles, including presenter, moderator and program chair at dozens of conferences across the nation on bankruptcy, construction and surety topics.
